Focusing on the different recipes with seasonal flavors, we sometimes forget the basic recipes we need so much, such as basic crepes recipe. Thank you for reminding and letting us know.
I’ve been using this recipe for years now, and not only is it so easy to make but it will never let you down. If you have a busy day ahead, you can prepare the dough in the evening before going to bed and in the morning you can have delicious and fresh crepes just in a few minutes.
- This recipe makes 8 large crepes.
- If you want to transfer it to a simple and delicious cake, layer each one of the crepes in a cake plate and fill the layers with different creams and fruits.
- I’ve used pastry cream, click HERE for the recipe.
Method:
Put the eggs in a large bowl and whisk.
Add the milk, sugar, salt and stir until dissolved.
Sieve flour while whisking.
*If you still have lumps then sieve the whole mixture and make sure to incorporate the left flour.
Coat the bowl with transparent paper and leave it on fridge for 30 minutes to chill.
After 30 minutes stir once more with a spatula.
Cook the crepes in medium heat.
Dye the pan with melted unsalted butter with a silicon brush (the amount of butter depends on the typology of the pan).
Depending on the pan’s size, distribute the measure with a ladle.
Make sure to have an even and thin layer.
