A Dream Come True!

On today’s article I wanted to talk a bit about me, on what’s going on with my academic life. I am really excited to share such news with you. I graduated successfully from high school and after a cool summer; started university studies at Polis University (Tirana) on Art&Design. I feel this year will be unforgettable to me.

Polis is a place I grew up in. My two big sisters study also there. I volunteered and worked there also for years, cooking at the university canteen, giving people lots of love and passion through my sweets. Most of the recipes you have seen at my Kikiliciouss website have initially been cocked at Polis.

Growing in such environment, I was always taught to fight and work hard to make my dreams possible. To think positive and always get the best out of it. That’s why being a student in Polis University does not mean I have privileges. In contrary I keep in shoulder more responsibility to be always at the maximum.

Polis gives me also the perfect milieu for my creative inspirations and feelings. I’m learning a lot everyday about art and it’s applications in real life. I feel so enthusiastic to work with our professors, as some of them are top artist in Albania and often with international reputation as well.

It is a privilege to work with Prof Thoma Thomai a godfather of Albanian monumental sculpture; with Prof Edi Hila, probably top Albanian modern artist persecuted by communist regime; Gezim Qendro, former director on national art gallery of Albania and top art critic in Albania, co-founder of TICAB Tirana International Art Biannual, etc.

I am also enjoying studying and working there as I have a great opportunity to also explore the relation between esthetics and culinary, my life hobby. I can already see it as an extraordinary version of applied arts and design. It is such an inspiring adventure I am working with. And I feel that Kikiliciouss is not any longer just a dream, it’s a dream coming true and Polis is helping me to make it work!
