Christmas Punch

Punch is always a great idea when it comes to parties, especially during Christmas and New Year’s Eve !

 

Ingredients:

75 ml clementine juice

150 ml Benedictine liqueur

225 ml Dewar’s white label scotch whiskey, or cognac

300 ml cranberry juice

1 vanilla pod, seeds of

1 clementine, thinly sliced

3 sour cherries, (optional)

 

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together in a jug and store in the fridge for 2–3 hours before using – no longer as the sour elements will start to affect the overall flavor of the punch

Mix well and allow to dilute for 5 minutes before serving

Christmas Rum Old Fashion

Ingredients:

2 parts Bacardi Dark rum

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

1 splash water

1-2 tsp sugar/a sugar cube

ice, cubed

 

Method :

Add the sugar cube/granulated sugar and Angostura Bitters to a rocks glass with a single ice cube

Stir the mix until the ice cube has melted enough to dissolve the sugar – if you’re using a sugar cube you’ll need to crush it

Add another 3 to 4 ice cubes and half of the Bacardi Dark rum then stir for around 60 seconds

Top up the glass with more ice and add the rest of the Bacardi Dark rum, then stir for another 60 seconds

Cut a piece of orange peel and add it to the drink, stir a couple more times and serve

Christmas Pomegranate Shots

This cocktail is great served at the end of a meal and with this color is a perfect Christmas treat.

 

Ingredients:

Pomegranates

1 bottle gin

 

Method :

Peel some pomegranates and remove the beautiful deep purple-red capsules from inside

At the end of the meal, simply fill your shot glass with pomegranate seeds, pour in your iced gin and shoot the cocktail back

-> Don’t swallow until you’ve crunched the pomegranate seeds and got a real burst of fragrance and flavour in your mouth. Then swallow the lot and continue the conversation… or have another one !!!

Halloween Cocktail – The Raven

Ingredients :

6 fresh blackberries

fresh mint leaves

44 ml white rum

127 ml cranberry juice

 

Method :

In a cup or shaker, mash 3 blackberries (just enough to get the juice) and mix with mint leaves

Add shot of rum and ice, and then shake

Pour into your cocktail glass

Add cranberry juice

 

Garnish : blackberries on top of the glass (on a bamboo pick or a tooth pick in case you have nothing else in hands) and mint sprigs

Dodona Cocktail

Name : Dodona is one of 7 oracles and is Albanian Temple. The pomegranate was the fruit of the temple

Ingredients :

Chopped ice

4 cubes of lime

20 grains pomegranate

2 tsp brown sugar

35 ml Captain Morgan Black

15 ml Contro

A splash of Sprite

 

Method :

In the cocktail glass you’re using put lime cubes and pomegranate, pestle them together

Add sugar and stir together the ingredients

Add the chopped ice and then all liquids starting from Captain Morgan, Contro and in the end a splash of sprite

 

Garnish : grains pomegranate
